Individual Music Therapy
1:1 music therapy provides individualized treatment at least 1x a week for 30-45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for documentation, discussion with caregivers and cleaning of instruments.
$85 for 30 mins | $120 for 45mins | $170 for 60mins
Group Music Therapy
Group sessions address more general goals all the while taking into consideration everyone's unique strengths. Groups are held at least 1x a week for 45minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for documentation, discussion with caregivers, and cleaning of instruments. This option is a great choice for agencies looking to bring in a music therapist for a structured group therapy
$145 for 45 mins
Community Integrated Music Groups
Our weekly Music Groups are available for 2-10 year olds or adults with special needs, especially to those who love music! Each group is kept at 2-3 participants to help each of them get enough attention to grow and have fun! We play different musical games, explore new instruments and build relationships. Groups are created on an as-needed basis. Please contact Ivette for the most updated group availability.
$65 for each 30-min group | $85 for each 45-min group $95 for each 1hr group
Community Integrated Individual Music Lessons
Music lessons are tailored to the student's learning style, creating a positive environment in which they can succeed. Lessons are 1x a week for 30/45 minutes with an additional 10 minutes discussion with caregivers and cleaning of instruments. Includes a lesson plan tailored to meet the specific needs of each student. Available for all ages and abilities.
$85 for 30 mins | $120 for 45mins | $170 for 60mins
Individual Music Therapy and Group Music Therapy include initial assessment, a treatment plan tailored to meet specific needs and on-going documentation such as progress notes.
Teletherapy/Virtual Sessions
We are fortunate to say that we are now offering virtual sessions. This will now always be an option, especially for those who will like to remain online. In 2020, we were able to transition from in-person to online and we are happy to say that we have been able to access, treat and build a therapeutic relationship even from across the screen. Some things to consider if you’d like to try teletherapy or virtual sessions.
Has my child/loved one responded positively to other Telehealth services?
Am I or another adult available to be with them for the duration of the session? (To make sure connection is good and to provide hand-over assistance when needed)
Do you have any musical instruments available? (Not required but helpful)
In-Office Sessions
GVMT has thankfully resumed back to office hours. At this time, we will not be resuming in-home sessions until further notice. We intend to keep everyone safe so here are the steps that we are taking to ensure safety and minimize cross-contamination:
All therapists will be wearing masks whenever they feel it would be helpful.
You will wait in your vehicle until your music therapist sends you a text to meet at the front door. This allows us time to clean everything before you arrive.
We will be scheduling sessions with a 15-minute window between sessions. That is so each client can have time to come in and out without having to run into another client.
At the start and end of each session, everyone will wash their hands/use hand sanitizer that is readily available in our office
After each session, we will be spraying the room with Lysol spray around the room as well as wiping down all surfaces with Lysol wipes.
Each client will have their own basket with their own instruments as well as some shared instruments that can be cleaned easily to help reduce cross-contamination. These instruments will stay in the office.
